Doshi Smiles Our Founding Journey
The Doshi Family believes in a concentric circle of giving starting from family, to employees, to communities and have a deep faith that each one of us has the ability to make a difference if we only have the desire to do so. They have developed this personal charitable philosophy in the hope that others will follow their example and leave the world a little bit better than they found it.
The Doshi's have supported many causes over the years, mostly in the fields of healthcare, education and livelihood. Drs. Leena and Nitin Doshi have received many awards for their leadership and generosity. They are now at a point in their lives and careers where they are eager to pool resources and concentrate their impact on society. An opportunity presented itself when The Chief Operating Officer of National Dental, Dr. Shyam Sheth, had a strong vision, network and structure in place to help those with cleft lip, cleft palate and maxillo-craniofacial deformities in India. His highly renowned professor, Dr. Krishna Rao of Inga Health Foundation, was ready, willing and able to serve the community but there was inadequate funding. A partnership was born and the Doshi Smiles organization was created.

At Doshi Smiles, we are dedicated to transforming lives by providing free, life-changing surgeries and comprehensive full life-cycle care to children affected by craniofacial deformities. Our mission is rooted in compassion and the belief that everyone, no matter their background, deserves the opportunity to smile confidently and live a full, empowered life. We focus on helping underserved rural communities where children and adults live with extreme discomfort and face societal discrimination due to their birth defects. We offer hope, healing, equity, and justice to those who would otherwise have limited or no access to such critical care.

Comprehensive Care
Guided by empathy, collaboration, and excellence, we provide long-term, holistic support beyond surgeries. From the moment patients and their families arrive, we ensure they receive comprehensive medical, emotional, and psychological care, partnering with local medical teams to change lives one smile at a time.
No Cost to Patient
Most of the work conducted by giant corporate and global foundations at huge costs are planned in cities which need the least support. Rural communities with the most need have no transport resources nor are capable of sustaining themselves for even a few days in any city. We have no such constraint and have excellent outreach, working directly with all rural partners.
Dedicated Partners
Our clinics are located in hospitals with dedicated wings for our patients and a local team who manage case inflow and outflow. We partner with dedicated members & healthcare providers who conduct camps in most rural and non-drivable roads in developing countries to make sure no child is left untreated or to fate.
Where We Work
Our care centers are located in Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, and Visakhapatnam, with a surgical training center in Bangalore, India.
